Acmetol222
Composition
Mixture of high- molecular aliphatic, fatty acid esters.
It functions as emulsion plasticizser, dispersing aid and lubricant. Acmetol 222 improves dispersion, prevents sticking of polymers to rolls and rotors and improves compound flow etc. It is used for all polymers but is specially suited for NBR based compounds. Acmetol 222 is a dispersing aid, which also provides a plasticising and lubricating effect. It shortens the mixing time by faster filler incorporation. The addition of Acmetol 222 can reduce the risk of scorching, particularly in highly loaded compounds. Due to the good plasticising properties of Acmetol 222, the moulds can be filled faster with lower pressures during injection and transfer moulding. The recomended dosage is 0.5 to 2 phr.

Recommendations For Application
ACMETOL 222 is a processing additive for rubber polymers which is normally used to improve the general compound processing without significant influence on powdered materials and can shorten the mixing time by faster filler incorporation.
ACMETOL 222 prevents sticking of elastomers and compounds to rotors and rolls. The addition of ACMETOL 222 can reduce the risk of scorching particularly in highly loaded compounds.
Due to the good plasticizing properties of ACMETOL 222, molds can be filled faster with lower pressures during injection and transfer molding. Mold release is improved.
ACMETOL 222 greatly improves filler dispersion, as well as flow properties and release during processing, and demolding especially in nitrile compounds.
